So, what we have is a Presidential Race where one candidate, Hillary Clinton, is very smart, but has made a very stupid mistake in the area of national security. To be clear, the only reason she has not been indicted is that the people to whom she sent unsecured classified data were appropriate recipients. The unsecured means of transmission, in this age of hacking and even electronic reading of credit cards at a distance, is not considered chargeable. If I, while employed by the Air Force, or any other such employee, were to have sent data by these means, we would have been dismissed and possibly jailed. Not so for a Presidential candidate? Hmmm. And she slowly drifts toward views in trade and education that actually favor people. Sincerely? Your call.
On the other hand, in the other party, we have an arrogant, ignorant, egotist, Donald Trump, with only his own brand at heart, who cannot seem to keep from lying about easily checked items, then switching, and who will not release tax data that would disprove many of his personal wealth and charitable claims. And consider that there are tens of millions of American voters who believe that he will be smart and effective acting in their interest while not worsening the economy and world violence.
I’m voting for the lesser of two evils and I’m very glad I’m old.
